Field Construction Boilermakers, Local 69

Local Lodge 69 was formed when workers organized themselves in order to bargain collectively with their employer. Our International Constitution grants a charter to any local lodge when 35 or more persons residing in the US. Local 69 was established in 1969 with 157 charter members. Our charter is alive and well, although many of our charter members are no longer working at the trade.

Our members pride themselves on getting the job done right, on time (the first time), under budget, no lost time accidents and with the highest level of workmanship and quality. Through the participation in such programs as the Southeast Area Apprenticeship, MOST (Mobilization-Optimization-Stabilization-Training), Common Arc and OSHA our contractors know we can provide a workforce that is readily available, highly trained and safety certified.

Local lodge 69, within the framework of the Brotherhood's Constitution, adopts by-laws specifying the rules and regulations governing the conduct of our local. Local lodge members elect the officers of the lodge. Through District 5 representation our elected delegates vote on contracts and other important matters.

Local lodge meetings are held the 3rd Thursday of every month. We encourage the members to attend, as we discuss important issues affecting our local. This is also a great time for fellowship and discussion of current jobs, as well as upcoming work in our area. Through solidarity we can assist distressed members, obligate new members and install new officers. These are crucial to the health and happiness of our membership.
